He was anxious to get as far from the gnats as possible, but something stopped him. An unnatural chill enveloped him, and he was filled with foreboding. "What have you done to my Ogre?" demanded a sharp creaky voice from the fog. The group stood frozen. "It's the Witch!" Hoc said fearfully. He reached for his little brother's hand. It was cool and sweaty, and Boc had begun to tremble. The older boy felt his own skin prickle with goose bumps. Just then, he felt Boc's grip tighten and a cold wet fear like he'd never known before crawled over him. He too began to shake. What's she going to do to us? he thought.
